The resort is located at a private beach beside the crowded white beach. But in order to reach the resort, you have to take a boat to the white beach and you still have to take a tricycle which costs a ridiculous amount of PHP 100 for such a short distance which is walkable for a good ten minutes. There are other resorts at the white beach as well which is convenient for food but it can be very noisy and crazy at night so I'm not really confident in recommending to stay at the hotels in the white beach.
Sunset At Aninuan offered privacy and serenity and truly away from the crowds. A great place for lovers! There is a beach bar where we did the check in and out procedures and where we order the expensive but delicious Philippine cuisines! We got the deluxe rooms for PHP 5,000 per night including breakfast but pls. be careful in ordering breakfast and double check the price inclusion of the breakfast. It turns out that our breakfast price is only PHP 400 something yet we have ordered beyond the price, that I don't know so we ended up paying more.
The services of the staff are great, they are nice and always ready to help you. They will prepare beach towels whenever you need it or they will put a table with candle beside the two swings / seatswhere my husband and I will lay down. We love sitting in the well designed beach seats listening to the waves of the sea but another reason why we go there is because of the wifi connection which is not available in the room.
For the price of PHP 5,000 per room per night, I quite expected that there will be coffee and tea in the room but there's none. (Sigh). Or perhaps free drinks? Even lemonades will do or even water! Unfortunately even complimentary bottled water is not included. Good thing, we did purchased water before we depart Manila.
Pool is not as clean but available. Other facilities such as the mini library, billiard table, gym are available as well. The resort can also arrange a shuttle to and from the port but they mentioned it to us quite late, right after we have arranged our own transfers already so no use in telling us. I will rate this resort 3.5 out of 5 stars.
